It's almost impossible to work without computers and laptops these days. But some people are still unaware of the tools and techniques they can use to work more efficiently. One such technique is the use of keyboard shortcuts, which can make everyday work much easier and greatly increase productivity.

Using the keyboard shortcuts might seem a little strange at first, but once you get used to them, you'll notice how much easier they make your work. Remember that a computer is a device that should adapt to the user, not the other way around. The use of keyboard shortcuts reflects this philosophy, as they allow you to adapt the way your computer works to your needs.

Docking of windows

If you are a beginner Windows user, you will first learn some basic keyboard shortcuts. These include, for example, the ⊞+ Z (Win + Z), which helps to dock windows, i.e. to fit different windows neatly next to each other. This can be very useful if you want to use several applications at once, or if you want a more transparent structure on your desktop.

For Windows docking, use the keyboard:
  1. Press and hold the + arrow key combination to dock the application when it is switched on. You can change the docking positions using the arrow key on the keyboard.
    • To place the application on the left side of the screen Arrow left
    • A Right arrow place the app on the right side of the screen
    • A Up with arrow key place the app at the top of the screen.
  2. Once you have found the desired docking location, release the Windows key combination for docking.

Screenshots from preparation

A ⊞+ Shift + S key to take a snapshot, or screenshot. Taking a screenshot of a web page, document or other content can be very useful when you want to save or share something quickly.

Troubleshoot PC errors via remote connection

If you ever need help, or would like to help someone on the computer, you can use the ⊞+ Ctrl + Q command is particularly useful. This opens the Quick Help application, which allows you to connect remotely to other computers so you can help or ask for help with your problems.

Help your friend using Quick Help
  1. Choose the Start button, enter Quick help, then select it in the list of results (or press + Ctrl + Q).
  2. Choose the Help someone and then share the 6-digit code with the person you want.
  3. Once you have entered the code, wait for the person providing the help to authorise the connection and share the screen.
  4. When you join and help someone, you can use various tools in Quick Help, such as a laser pointer, a wind note, a chat to type messages, etc.
  5. To request full control of the computer, select the Controller request and wait until it is enabled.

Connection to wireless display

Finally, the + K key command helps you connect your computer to a wireless display. With this feature, you can easily "project" your laptop screen onto a larger TV screen, for example, so you can share content with other people or simply work on a larger screen. With Miracast and WiGig technologies, this is now very easy.

These keyboard shortcuts and their associated functions are just the tip of the iceberg. The Windows system has many other shortcuts, all of which can help you work faster and more efficiently. From the simple Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V copy-paste commands to the more complex Windows+Tab window switcher, there are a range of commands to help you get the most out of your computer.

So if you want to be more efficient at your computer work, start using keyboard shortcuts! Not only will this speed up your work, it can also make using your computer more fun and interesting.
