Want to use your Android phone via the Windows PC? Then we have good news for you: with the Windows Phone Connect program you can do it. It lets you read and write SMS, view photos, run mobile apps, make and receive calls and manage notifications on your PC. All you need is a Microsoft account, a Wi-Fi network and a Bluetooth connection. In this article, we'll show you how to set up and use Windows Phone Connect with your Android phone.

To use the program, you need a PC running Windows 10 or 11, a phone running Android 7.0 or later, and a Microsoft account. Setting up the program is quick and easy, just follow a few steps.

Setting up the programme

First, we need to install the Windows-connection mobile app on our Android phone. You can do this from the Google Play Store or the Samsung Galaxy Store. On some Samsung, HONOR and Surface Duo devices, this app is pre-installed.

Then we need to open the Windows Phone Connection program on the PC. This can be done by typing the term Phone Connection in the search box on the taskbar and then selecting the application from the results.

We need to sign in with our Microsoft account on both PC and Android phone. It's important to use the same account on both devices.

You need to connect to the same Wi-Fi network on both your PC and Android phone.

On the PC, select Pair with QR code. A QR code will then appear on the screen. On your Android phone, open the Windows-connection app and scan this QR code. If the pairing was successful, a message will be displayed on both devices.
